EQC is now called NHC – yes we know
Why does Risknet still refer to EQC? Well a pretty simple answer is that all of the seismic events in Canterbury occurred when the agency was named the Earthquake Commission (EQC).
All Scopes of Works (SOW) up until the end of 2024 were labelled EQC. So for 14 years we only had EQC and private insurer information.
So if your report refers to, references, quotes, paraphrases or expresses comments on earthquake related damage and repairs….it is because of the aforementioned paragraphs.
