What is an ‘on sold’ property?
On- Solds are properties built prior to the Canterbury Earthquakes, have sustained varying degrees of damage through the quake events, have been repaired and resold over the past 7 years. The majority of these properties were managed through the EQC repair program through a third party, Fletcher Building.
To ensure we add some balance to the discussion, we acknowledge that a number of houses have indeed being repaired by very capable contractors and finished to a high standard, however, a large number of properties appear to have either been under-scoped or the contractors have failed to execute the repair to a professional high standard.
