RISKNET | CHRISTCHURCH PROPERTY DUE DILIGENCE | HISTORICAL PROPERTY INFORMATION | FLOOR LEVEL SURVEYS
My wife and I purchased property in Christchurch, just prior to the earthquakes. We moved from Auckland in 2010 to build a life here and a place to bring up our young children.
After the earthquakes, I quickly realised that our city was not well equipped to deal with our damaged houses, which begged the question, what information could a buyer trust? The light bulb went of in my head.
Risknet Limited was created in 2012 and incorporated in 2015. My work in the earlier years was about collecting and collating data, then developed into a fully fledged database of damaged houses. The term ‘As Is Where Is’ relating to property did not exist at the time. Over the past 12 years I collated a significant and valuable resource of property information. I built the Exclusive Database of Damaged Properties and can make this data available to anyone looking to purchase property within Christchurch and wider Canterbury.
A critical starting point is data. Whether you are buying or looking to sell, or potentially have purchased recently and had that terrible feeling that everything is not quite right. Risknet is here to help.
I met with Bronwyn Williams a Christchurch real estate agent to talk through the way forward for Canterbury homeowners and buyers. My goal is to bring confidence back into the Christchurch real estate market. This confidence has been severely challenged over the past decade.
